Privacy Notice
Effective: April 2025 · Built at Zero to Demo: AI-First Hackathon, Copenhagen
1. Who we are
DeepDetect is a demo product created by Lena Djemili and Ronghao Jin at the Zero to Demo: AI-First Hackathon in Copenhagen. This is a prototype, not a commercial service.
2. What we process
- Uploaded images and videos — sent directly to the HuggingFace Inference API for deepfake classification. We do not store uploaded media on our servers. Files are processed in memory and discarded immediately after analysis.
- Email addresses — if you voluntarily submit your email via the waitlist form, it is stored in Vercel KV solely to notify you of future updates. We do not share your email with third parties.
- Visit counts — we record an anonymous visit counter (no IP address, no identifiers) to measure demo traffic.
3. Legal basis (GDPR)
Media processing is based on your explicit action (uploading a file). Email collection is based on consent (voluntary form submission). You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
4. Third-party services
- HuggingFace — image classification inference. Uploaded frames are transmitted to their API under their privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosting and key-value storage. Data is stored in the EU region where available.
- Resend — transactional email delivery for waitlist confirmations.
5. Data retention
Uploaded media: not retained (processed in real time only). Email addresses: retained until the project concludes or until you request deletion. Visit counter: reset periodically, contains no personal data.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
